LIFE OF AN INFLUENCER WITH Fawziyyàh Suleiman

LIFE OF AN INFLUENCER WITH Fawziyyàh Suleiman

Over the last decade, we have seen social media grow rapidly in importance. According to the January 2019 We Are Social report, 3.484 billion people actively use social media - that's 45% of the world’s population.

Inevitably these people look up to influencers in social media to guide them with their decision making.

Influencers in social media are people who have built a reputation for their knowledge and expertise on a specific topic. They make regular posts about that topic on their preferred social media channels and generate large followings of enthusiastic, engaged people who pay close attention to their views.

Brands love social media influencers because they can create trends and encourage their followers to buy products they promote.

Fawziyyàh Suleiman is a content creator
A brand ambassador to brands who also influence brands. She’s a food blogger and influencer.

A final year student of chemical engineering afebabalola university Ekiti
Talking more about herself,

"I am someone who likes to take photos
So when I joined Instagram I was taking a lot of photos and I had a good number of followers and then different brands started reaching out for ads.

I really didn’t know what influencing was  then but then as time went on I saw other influencer and I noticed what I was doing was actually influencing
Then I started influencing full time"

Food Blogging: I am always eating 😂 so I was like why not food blogging too so I started too and then brands that I have influenced wanted me to be their ambassador...
The amount the offered was reasonable so I accepted
That’s how it all started....   She revealed.

Been an influencer isn’t challenge free as well. One is the Instagram algorithm of late. Where less than 50% of your followers arw allowed to see this posts.

Secondly, viewers and audience tend not to want to engage with pictures or posts that are not an individual or personal posts. And this isn’t good for an influencer who is influencing brand because those brands needs your audience’s engagement hence, instagram tag any post with less engagement irrelevant leading to shadowban.

Thirdly, the brands themselves can be the problem sometimes. A brand might want to see their products all flaunting on your page as their influencer without wanting to make the appropriate payment.
And lastly the personal challenge of this Abuja influencer is her parents. Her parents wants her to influence without been out there.

Meanwhile, no challenge without a solution or way out so it’s wisdom for her to mitigate all the above challenges.

From instagram algorithm to her parents. Which is knowing the right time to post, when your followers are active and using corresponding hashtags.

So I think  Fawziyyàh Suleiman is your next plug for influencing and ambassadorship
